How we rank AI girlfriend apps
Every score on this site comes from the same formula, applied the same way to every app, whether or not it pays us.
The six things we score
| Category | Weight | What earns a high score |
|---|---|---|
| Conversation | 25% | Custom personas, scenarios and roleplay tools, group chat, and an app built around conversation rather than image generation |
| Memory | 20% | Long-term memory that carries across chats, and memory you can view and edit |
| Pictures and video | 20% | Picture generation, video generation, and a clear price per picture |
| Value | 15% | A low real monthly cost for the features included, counting in-app currency |
| Voice | 10% | Voice messages, and live two-way voice calls |
| Trust | 10% | A named company with a registered address, clear billing and published refund terms |
The overall score is the weighted average of the six, rounded to one decimal place.
Where the data comes from
- Prices come from each app's own pricing or subscription page. We record the cheapest plan (usually yearly billing, shown as a monthly figure) and the month-to-month price where the app publishes one. All prices are in US dollars.
- Features come from the app's own website and help pages. If the app does not say it offers something, we record it as no, even if it might exist behind the login.
- Company details come from the app's terms of service, privacy policy and footer. Where a registration number is published we note the country.
We read every app again at least once a month. The date of the last check is shown in the footer of every page and on every review.
What we do not do
- We do not accept payment for a higher position, a review or a mention.
- We do not change an app's score because it pays commission. Right now six of our top ten apps (Nomi AI, Selira AI, FantasyGF, Infatuated AI, Kindroid and TryNectar AI) pay us nothing.
- We do not list apps whose sign-up links send you to a different brand than the one named.
- We do not claim hands-on results we have not recorded. Where a detail is only visible after paying, we say it is not published.
