What is an anime AI girlfriend, or AI waifu?

Archetypes are shorthand for a personality, and they work well in an AI girlfriend's description because the model already knows them from countless stories. How to build your own AI waifu

1. Choose the anime style first. Pick it in the character creator before anything else, since the style decides how every picture looks. Secrets AI, OurDream and My Lovely AI all offer it as a creation option, and My Lovely AI adds an Anime-3D style for a rendered look.
2. Set the look. Hair color and length, eye color, outfit and one signature detail (a star-shaped hair clip, a long red scarf) that makes her recognizable in every picture.

Can you chat with a character from an existing anime?

Many people want a specific character from a show rather than an original. Whether you can depends on the app. User-made character libraries often include fan-made versions of well-known characters, and you can usually describe one in a private character of your own. Public listings are stricter: Secrets AI's rules, for example, require submitted characters to be original and ban characters based on copyrighted anime, film, TV or games.

• Consistency. The image model does not reliably know what a specific character looks like, so pictures of "her" can drift. An original with a written description stays the same.
