Is GirlfriendGPT free? The free messages and what comes next
Only as a short trial: GirlfriendGPT is free to join, but its terms give free users 2 or 3 characters and around 10 to 20 messages in total, after which chat stops, and its plan page advertises "Free 20 messages". You can earn a few more credits through tasks; pictures, video and voice need a paid plan and coins.
What the GirlfriendGPT free plan includes
Our summary above reflects that the site does not show its limits up front. Its terms and plan page are more specific:
- Around 10 to 20 messages in total, then chat stops (the plan page says 20)
- 2 or 3 characters
- Shared chats and community characters
- Extra message credits for completing tasks
Sign-up takes an email address or a Google account, with no card needed.
What needs a paid plan
Every paid plan adds a monthly message allowance and coins:
- Premium: 5,000 messages and 400 coins a month, uncensored chat, images and custom 5-second videos, voice messages.
- Deluxe: 20,000 messages and 1,200 coins, 2x chatbot memory, custom 10-second videos, faster generation, and voice calls listed.
- Elite: unlimited messages and 2,000 coins, 8x chatbot memory and the best chat and video models.
Coins pay for pictures, video and voice. The coin cost of each is not published.
How far the free messages go
Twenty messages is one conversation, not a relationship. It is enough to see how a character writes and whether the site's style suits you. It is not enough to test pictures, video or voice, which all need coins, or to judge memory, which only shows over time.
Use them well: pick one character, give it a clear scene in the first message, and spend the rest seeing how it responds. Then complete the tasks for extra credits if you want a second look. If you want to chat daily without paying, GirlfriendGPT is the wrong app, and the alternatives below go much further.

The cheapest current plan is Premium, at $15 a month or $12 a month on yearly billing. The homepage FAQ still lists an older, cheaper Basic plan, but the site's current price tables start at Premium, and checkout shows the live price only after login. Check it there before you pay.
Because refunds are limited to company mistakes and technical issues, try one month before paying for a year. Read GirlfriendGPT pricing and our GirlfriendGPT review first.
