OurDream's model is simple once you subscribe: unlimited messages plus 1,000 dreamcoins a month for images, video and calls at 50 coins a minute. Joi charges Neurons on top of any subscription for romantic messages, photos and videos, so heavy use costs more than the plan price, and you cannot see that price until you log in.
Joi is the better free test: its Basic tier lets you chat and make 6 images in total, while OurDream charges one coin per message and gives no free coins. Joi's unused monthly benefits roll over, and accidental Neuron purchases are refundable, in full if unspent. OurDream refunds nothing once more than 25% of a purchase is used, never refunds crypto, and blurs your media if you stop paying. Both keep long-term memory and allow custom characters; only OurDream offers group chats.

- You want unused monthly benefits to carry over
- You mostly text and do not need voice
- You want unlimited messages with no per-message charges
