Nomi AI suits people who want one steady companion. It keeps a persistent memory of your chats, lets you run up to 10 Nomis and 10 group chats on Standard, and adds voice messages, calls and video. Standard costs $8.33 a month yearly or $15.99 month to month on the App Store, and the free plan keeps one-to-one chat going with 400-character messages. Photos stay clothed by policy.
PolyBuzz suits people who hop between characters. It has more than 20 million of them, needs no account to start, and imports character cards from other apps. The trade-off is memory: its FAQ admits characters can forget earlier parts of long chats, and better memory models need a membership from $9.90 a month.
