Both apps put memory first, but they suit different people. Nomi AI is built for steady, everyday companionship: it has an official iPhone app, the higher trust score of the pair, and a free plan that keeps one-to-one chat running indefinitely with 400-character messages. Its selfies stay clothed and flirty by design, so it is the wrong choice for 18+ media. The Nomi AI review explains what the free plan leaves out.
Secrets AI covers the media side Nomi AI skips: 8,000 Moments a month on Premium pay for pictures, video and calls, and its Lorebook lets you edit what a character remembers. It costs $9.17 a month on the yearly plan against $8.33 for Nomi AI, and it only runs in the browser. Neither refunds a partial month, and a Nomi AI subscription bought through the App Store has to be cancelled there.
