What the Roger free plan includes

You can sign up with an email address, a Google account or Discord, browse the male companions and start chatting straight away. The site keeps a safe-for-work feed and an 18+ feed, and free accounts can try the picture and voice features through a trial.

Roger does not publish how many messages a day the free plan allows. What it does say is that the daily limits apply until you confirm your email, so confirm it first. The trial grants of 4 safe-for-work pictures, 2 18+ pictures and 5 voice messages come from the site's own config and are one-time, not daily.

What needs Premium

Premium is the only paid plan. According to its upgrade page, it adds:

• Unlimited messages, with no daily cap
• Live audio calls with your companion
• Voice messages, pictures and video beyond the trial
• A custom companion you design yourself (100 credits each)
• 1,000 credits a month, plus 50% off extra credit packs
• "Better memory" and pictures without watermarks

Shorts episodes cost 100 credits each, so they also depend on credits. Free users can buy credit packs, but at double the member price.

How far the free messages go

Because Roger does not publish the daily number, the honest answer is: enough for a first conversation, not enough to live in the app. The trial is a better test than the chat cap. Use the 5 voice messages to hear whether a companion's voice suits you, and the pictures to check the art style before you pay.

What the free plan cannot show you is a live call or a character you design yourself, two of the main Premium features. It also cannot show how the memory holds up over weeks, which is the weakest part of the app in our data. Spread your free messages over a few days rather than one sitting to get a better feel for how a companion keeps up.

The cheapest way to pay for Roger

The annual plan is the cheapest option: $7.50 a month, billed as $89.99 up front, against $14.99 month to month. Both include the same 1,000 credits a month.

If you are unsure, pay for one month first. Roger's refund window is only 24 hours and closes once you use more than 100 credits, so an annual plan you regret is hard to undo. Is Roger worth paying for after the free plan?

It depends on what you tested. If the trial voice messages and pictures suited you and you want live calls, Premium adds both, plus 1,000 credits a month that never expire. That last point matters more than it sounds: on some apps we track, such as Candy AI, unused tokens expire when the subscription ends, while Roger keeps them.

If what you want is a boyfriend who remembers last month, the free plan will not show you that, and Premium may not either, since our data records Roger's memory as conversational.
