Is Swipey AI free? What you get before the paywall
Only briefly: Swipey AI is free to join and build a companion, but its terms cap free use at about 5 messages before a paywall, and pictures, video and calls need Premium. Premium costs $19.99 month to month or $7.99 a month on the 12-month plan, and daily rewards give a few free Hearts.
What the Swipey AI free plan includes
Swipey's builder is free to use, and most people meet it before they meet the paywall: it walks you through about ten steps and asks you to name your companion before creating an account. Sign-up is by email, either a magic link or a password, and no card is needed for the free account.
Free accounts can text their companion and browse the feed of Platform Models and creator personas. The terms' wording is "up to five (10) messages", which is unclear, but section 9 of the terms and our data both put the cap at 5 messages after registration.
How far the free messages go
Five messages is one short exchange. It shows you the builder, the character art and the writing style of the first few replies. It does not show you memory, pictures, video, calls or how a companion behaves after a day of chat.
Make the 5 count. Use the first to ask your companion something specific, such as what it remembers about the backstory you gave it in the builder, and the rest to test the tone you want. That tells you more than small talk.
Free Hearts from daily rewards, quests and referrals do not lift the message cap; they pay for extras such as calls once you subscribe. So the free plan is best treated as a preview of the builder, not a trial of the app. If you want to test a companion properly before paying, the apps below give far more.

The 12-month plan is the cheapest at $7.99 a month, but it is billed as $95.99 in one go, and the terms say purchases are final and non-refundable except where the law requires. Swipey's plan data also lists a short paid trial and a discounted first month; check what each renews at before you take it.
Given the refund terms, the safest route is one month at $19.99, cancelled straight away if you are unsure; Premium still runs to the end of the month. Our Swipey AI pricing page and Swipey AI review go further.
