Our Swipey AI review in one line: Swipey has one of the most polished character builders in the category and an unusual mix of AI chat and real-creator Fan Clubs, but its free plan ends after about 5 messages and its terms call every purchase non-refundable, so it is hard to recommend over the apps above it. Swipey is built to get you invested fast. Its character builder walks you through about ten steps and has you name your companion before it asks for an account. Beyond your own Custom AI, it offers curated Platform Models and Verified Creator Models, AI personas of real creators with paid Fan Clubs, and Premium includes one Fan Club free. That mix of creator content and AI chat is unusual among the apps we track.
The product behind the funnel is ordinary: conversational memory, pictures, video and voice features that spend Hearts, a second currency with no published prices. The billing is where Swipey loses most points. The free plan stops after about 5 messages, the pricing page leads with the $7.99 yearly figure, and section 10.4 of the terms calls all purchases "final and non-refundable under any circumstances", except where the law says otherwise. Our trust score for Swipey is the lowest of any ranked app.
There are good points. INVAI LTD is named with a Cyprus registration number, charges appear under a neutral company name, and cancelling and deleting are both self-serve. But for the same money, Secrets AI and Candy AI offer more and bill more clearly.

You can build a companion, browse the feed and send a few messages without paying or adding a card. The terms' wording is muddled, "up to five (10) messages", but our data and section 9 of its terms put the cap at 5 messages before a paywall. Hearts pay for voice calls (per-minute rate shown once before the first call), Show More and Full Show video extensions, Play With Me live actions, creator media unlocks and tips. No per-item prices or pack prices are published. Purchased Hearts do not expire while the account is active. Free Hearts from daily rewards, quests and refer-a-friend.
The catch is that Swipey publishes no Heart prices at all, per item or per pack. The voice call rate is shown once, before your first call. Bought Hearts do not expire while the account is active, and free Hearts come from daily rewards, quests and referrals. Characters, creators and chat
Swipey has three kinds of companion. Platform Models are its curated characters. Verified Creator Models are AI personas of real creators, each with a Fan Club that sells extra content. Custom AI is the private companion you build, which Swipey says is never listed publicly. Styles range from realistic to anime.
Premium lists unlimited messaging, uncensored picture and video generation, voice calls billed in Hearts, relationship progression and Full Show videos. Companions reply in whatever language you write in, from English to Japanese, but voice calls are in English only. Our data records memory as conversational. You cannot upload your own photos or media, and characters based on real people without consent are banned.
Is Swipey AI safe and legit?
Swipey is run by INVAI LTD, registered in Cyprus as HE 458964 and incorporated on 17 April 2024, at an address in Strovolos, Nicosia. Its terms of service are dated 1 December 2021, more than two years before the company existed, a mismatch worth knowing about. It is not related to Swipey, the Malaysian payments company at swipey.co.
Charges appear under a neutral company name, never "Swipey AI", and purchase emails are neutral too. Its help centre says data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The weak points are refunds and retention: purchases are final under the terms, a chargeback on a legitimate charge may suspend your account, and the privacy policy keeps personal data for 6 years after you stop using it.
