Both are 18+ apps with cheap entry plans, but they spend your money differently. Candy AI's Premium, $3.99 a month yearly or $13.99 monthly, includes unlimited text plus 100 tokens a month for pictures and video. SpicyChat's Get A Taste plan, $5 a month yearly or $5.95 monthly, removes ads and adds a Memory Manager but no images; those need a higher tier, and SpicyChat makes no video at all.
SpicyChat wins on free use and roleplay depth. Free chat has no cap, with a 4,096-token context and 180-token replies, and it runs group chats of 2 to 10 characters, personas and scenarios. Candy AI stops free users at 5 messages. Both refund card payments requested within 24 hours if usage is light. SpicyChat's iOS app was removed in 2025 and Android uses a direct download; Candy AI is web only. See our SpicyChat free plan guide.
