How to cancel your Joi AI subscription

Joi's cancel flow may offer a discount on your next period to keep you. If you want to leave, carry on past it. Keep the confirmation and check My Subscriptions afterward to make sure renewal shows as off.

Canceling the 7-day trial and Bot Subscriptions

The free 7-day trial of the monthly plan bills you from day 8. Cancel renewal with the steps above at least 24 hours before that; the trial's $1 card hold is refunded either way.

Bot Subscriptions are separate paid add-ons for single characters, and they need an active Premium plan. Each one appears in My Subscriptions and must be canceled on its own. Details on every plan are on our Joi AI pricing page.

Can you get a refund from Joi?

Subscriptions are generally not refunded once active. Joi's refund page lists three cases where you can ask within 14 days of purchase:

proven card fraud: a full refund;
a one-time Neuron purchase made by accident: in full if the Neurons are unspent, partly if some are spent;
a subscription Joi ends for reasons other than a rules breach: a pro rata refund.

What happens to your Neurons and benefits

After you cancel, Premium runs to the end of the period, then your account drops to Basic. Unused monthly benefits roll over while you are subscribed, so spend them before the end date. Neurons bought separately stay with your account unless you delete it; deleting forfeits Premium, Bot Subscriptions and Neurons.

If a renewal payment fails, Joi keeps Premium for 7 days and then downgrades you to Basic, so a failed card is not a reliable way to cancel. Our Joi AI review explains what the free Basic account still includes.

Deleting your Joi account and card

Delete your account inside the service; the terms say this cannot be undone. You can also email support@joi.com to ask for your personal data to be deleted. To remove a saved card without deleting the account, click your Neuron balance and choose Manage my payment info. More on data rules is on our Joi AI safety page.

Apple Pay, Google Pay and unfamiliar charges

Joi has no App Store or Google Play app, so there is no store subscription to cancel. Apple Pay and Google Pay are only payment methods on the website; cancel on joi.com as above. EVA AI Soulmate, from the same company, is a separate App Store app with its own billing.

A Joi charge may show as "joi.com" or "Novi Limited". Contact support before disputing it: Joi says that if you charge back a payment, it may disclose your private chats to prove the charge. If you want an app with published prices next time, see our Joi AI alternatives.
