Is Kindroid safe and legit? Privacy, billing and age checks

Who runs Kindroid

Beautifully Incorporated lists an address at 5551 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles and is the seller on the App Store, where Kindroid is rated 17+. The terms send disputes to binding arbitration in Los Angeles with a class-action waiver; you can opt out by mail within 30 days. Kindroid also runs a public API and an official Discord bot, and publishes detailed docs on subscriptions, moderation and age verification.

Billing and payments

You can pay through the App Store, Google Play, or on the web by major card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Amazon Pay or Cash App. Kindroid does not publish the name that appears on a card statement for web purchases; store purchases show as Apple or Google.

The billing risk is the refund stance. Refunds are case by case and generally not given, in-app purchases are not refundable, and the docs say users who dispute charges may be permanently banned. That is stricter than most apps. Contact hello@kindroid.ai before your bank if a charge looks wrong.

Privacy and your chats

The privacy policy says chats are encrypted at rest and in transit so staff cannot view them in normal operation, and the FAQ says support cannot see your chats. The policy does not say whether chats train its models.

Data is disclosed to service providers for hosting, analytics, security, support and payments, to analytics partners and to parties you authorize. The policy adds that some disclosures may count as a "sale" under US state privacy laws and that vendors may be used to generate leads and build user profiles. Deleting your data

Deletion works companion by companion. Delete each Kindroid; when you delete the last one, it is scheduled for deletion after 24 hours, and then account data such as journals and your backstory is removed. Chats and generated media are kept until you delete that Kindroid or your account.

Two limits: individual messages cannot be deleted, and Kindroid keeps subscription status, currency counts and other logistical data to prevent abuse. Cancel any subscription before deleting. See how to delete an AI girlfriend account.

Age checks and content rules

Kindroid is for adults 18 and over, and its age checks are unusual. Paying, or starting the trial, counts as age verification. Free accounts are screened by a background system that estimates age from behavior; if you are flagged, you must subscribe or verify with Yoti by selfie or ID. Kindroid says under 2% of new free accounts were flagged.

It describes itself as unfiltered AI for adults, and moderation targets accounts rather than the model. The three red lines are planning imminent self-harm, planning imminent harm to real people, and any sexual or abusive content involving characters depicted as minors, where a stated age does not override how a character is shown. How to use Kindroid safely

• Download it from the App Store or Google Play, not an APK site.
• Remember that messages cannot be deleted one by one; keep personal details out.
• Turn off the 3-day trial before it ends if you do not want to pay.
• Ask support before disputing a charge, since a dispute can get you banned.
• Delete each Kindroid when you leave; the account follows 24 hours after the last one.
