How to delete your AI girlfriend account, chats and pictures

To delete an AI girlfriend account, cancel any subscription first, then use the delete option in the app's account settings (often under Settings, Account or a "danger zone"), and email the company's privacy address if there is none. Deletion is not always instant or complete: Nomi AI says data is permanently deleted within about 28 days, while Candy AI may keep account data for up to three years after your last activity unless you ask for it to be deleted.

Step 1: cancel before you delete

Deleting an account does not always stop billing. Replika says deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, and My Lovely AI says deleting does not cancel billing with the payment provider. Swipey AI asks you to cancel Premium first. Other apps cancel for you: Candy AI and OurDream say deleting the account also cancels an active subscription.

Step 2: delete the account, app by app

These steps come from each app's own help pages and privacy policies, as recorded in our data. Menus change, so look for the nearest match:

What gets deleted, and what companies keep

"Delete" rarely means everything. Privacy policies in our data show a wide range:

Secrets AI: name, email, profile and chat history deleted immediately; transaction records kept 7 years for tax and security logs up to 12 months without personal identifiers.
Candy AI: account data kept up to three years after last activity unless you request deletion; financial records ten years.
Replika: messages and content processed for up to 60 days after the contract ends; account and payment records kept at least 10 years.
Swipey AI, GoLove AI and Kupid AI: personal information usually kept for 6 years after the account is closed.
HeyGF: deleting from Settings closes the account but keeps a record including your email; full erasure needs an email to its privacy address.

Payment records are almost always kept for tax law. What you can push for is deletion of chats, pictures, voice recordings and profile data.

If there is no delete button: use your legal rights

Email the company's privacy or support address from the email on your account. The law backs you in many places:

UK and EU: you have a right to erasure. The UK's ICO says an organization has one calendar month to respond, extendable by two months, although the right is not absolute.
California: you can ask businesses to delete personal information they collected and tell their service providers to do the same. They must respond within 45 calendar days, extendable to 90.

Keep it short:

Subject: Erasure request for [account email]
Please delete my account and all personal data you hold about me, including chats, prompts, generated images, voice recordings and profile data, and instruct any service providers who received it to do the same. Please confirm when this is complete and tell me what, if anything, you are required to keep.

Deleting chats without deleting the account

Anima has a separate Delete chat history option in settings.
Lovescape lets you clear chats and delete characters from each character's menu, but media stays in the Gallery until you delete it there.
SweetDream AI, AI Peeps and LusyChat let you delete individual chats, characters or media.
Replika says chat history cannot be deleted without deleting the account, although individual memories can be removed.
Infatuated AI notes that chats you delete are no longer remembered by the character.

After you delete

Keep the confirmation email and check your card statement for the next two billing dates.
If you signed in with Google or Apple, remove the app's access in your Google or Apple account settings.
