What the Secrets AI free plan includes

The free plan is text chat with every companion on the site. You get 20 messages a day, the S3 and X-3 chat modes, basic memory and a 500-character cap on each message you send. The count resets daily.

Two details matter before you sign up. First, guests can send a few messages before creating an account, so you can see the writing style with no email at all. Second, the wiki says the daily limit is tied to your device, so a second account on the same phone does not give you another 20. Sign-up works with email, Google or Apple, and no card is asked for.

What you have to pay for

Everything that is not text runs on Moments, the site's second currency, and the free plan gets none and cannot buy any. According to its Moments price list, that locks out:

• Pictures: 50 Moments each, or 100 for a 2K image.
• Voice calls: 50 Moments a minute.
• Video: 600 Moments for an adult clip, with other clips priced by length.
• Custom characters: the first is free on a paid plan, then 500 Moments each.

Group chats, personas and proactive messages sit a level higher again, on the top tier. One point of confusion: the site shows a "200 Free Moments!" banner to new accounts and gives 25 more for turning on notifications, while the wiki says features that spend Moments need a paid plan. How far 20 free messages go

Twenty messages a day is a short scene: enough to test how a companion writes, how it handles a scenario you set up and whether its tone suits you. Over a month that adds up to about 600 messages, which is more free chat than most apps we track allow, though each message is capped at half of Premium's length.

What 20 a day will not show you is the memory. Secrets AI's strength is its Lorebook, which files what a character learns about you and your story, and that only pays off over weeks of longer chats. The free plan uses basic memory, so judge the writing on free and the memory only after you pay.

The cheapest way to pay

Premium is the cheapest paid plan. It removes the message cap, adds 8,000 Moments a month, doubles the message length to 1,000 characters and unlocks time travel, which rewinds a chat. The table shows every plan as Secrets AI publishes it:

Free alternatives to Secrets AI
