How to cancel your Kupid AI subscription

Cancel Kupid AI step by step

These steps come from Kupid's account pages and terms, checked on 29 September 2026:

1. Open your Profile and choose Manage subscription
2. Choose Cancel subscription and answer the short reason survey
3. Decline the retention offers (50% off next month or skip a month) and press Continue to cancel
4. Confirm; the site says access continues until the paid period ends
5. PayPal or Patreon subscriptions must be cancelled on the PayPal or Patreon website/app
6. Terms also say you can email hello@kupid.ai to stop rebilling

After you confirm, access continues until the paid period ends. Take a screenshot of the confirmation. If the in-app route fails, email hello@kupid.ai from your account address and ask for written confirmation that rebilling has stopped.

Canceling the free trial

The free trial starts with a $0.50 card verification charge, which is refunded, and then turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Cancel with the steps above as soon as you have started the trial if you are not sure. Can you get a refund from Kupid AI?

No. The refund section of the terms says all sales of digital products are final, with no refunds, returns or cancellations for a subscription once accessed. Downgrades are not refunded either.

What happens to your coins and data

The cancel screen says your custom characters, created images, received voice messages and premium chat history are deleted 30 days after you cancel. Download anything you want before then.

Coins that came with your plan expire 6 months after they were credited, whether or not you cancel. Coin packs you bought do not expire. Separately, the privacy policy says account data is usually kept for 6 years after the account is closed.

If cost is the only reason you are leaving, you have two other routes. The cancel flow offers 50% off your next month or a skipped month, and you can move from Ultra to Pro. Kupid says downgrades are not refunded, so switch near the end of a paid period rather than the start. After canceling, the free tier stays open with 15 messages and 1 custom character.

Deleting your Kupid AI account

Choose Delete Account in your Profile, or pick "Cancel and delete my data" in the cancel flow. Deleting does not cancel a Patreon subscription, so end that on Patreon first. More on Kupid's data rules is on our Kupid AI safety page.

If you paid through PayPal, Patreon, Apple or Google

PayPal and Patreon subscriptions must be canceled on the PayPal or Patreon website or app; canceling in Kupid does not stop them. Kupid has no App Store or Google Play app, so there is no store subscription to cancel. The terms say Kupid is not responsible for charges made through platforms it does not recognize.
