Is GirlfriendGPT safe and legit? Company, privacy and billing

Yes, GirlfriendGPT is safe and legit in the basics: it is run by NextDay AI Incorporated of Montreal, with NextDay AI USA Inc and NextDay AI EU Ltd, the same group behind SpicyChat, and it names its companies and address. The things to watch are human review of interactions, data kept for up to 6 years after you leave, no self-serve delete button in its pages, and a narrow refund policy.

Billing and payment options

GirlfriendGPT takes credit and debit cards (prepaid cards accepted), one-time Pay by Bank, CCBill, TrustPay and crypto through a Discord support ticket. It does not take PayPal. The site does not publish the name that appears on your statement; if you pay through CCBill, the charge is handled by CCBill.

Prepaid cards and crypto are the most private options if you do not want the charge on your main card. See AI girlfriend apps that take crypto and apps with discreet billing.

Privacy: who can see your chats

The homepage FAQ says chats are encrypted and private. The community guidelines add that human reviewers and automated tools monitor accounts, characters and interactions to enforce the rules. Both can be true, but it means your chats are not beyond a person's reach.

The privacy policy does not say whether chats train AI models; it lists "making improvements to the Website and Services" as a use of data. Data is shared with service providers, professional advisers, authorities when required and staff, and not sold without consent. The site uses Google Analytics. Deleting your account and data

The pages we read describe no self-serve delete button. The privacy policy says you can ask for your personal data to be deleted, and that withdrawing consent leads to account deletion "in a timely manner". Contact support through the support page or Discord and ask in writing.

Retention is long: data is kept while the account exists and usually for 6 years after you stop being a user. Cancel any subscription first. See how to delete an AI girlfriend account.

Age checks and content rules

GirlfriendGPT is for adults 18 and over, and you affirm your age on entry. The pages we read describe no ID or selfie check. The rules ban underage characters and images that resemble minors, real nude images of people, non-consensual imagery and deepfakes, sex trafficking, hate speech, graphic real-world violence, self-harm promotion and impersonation, and trying to bypass the filters can restrict your access.

Our research file for GirlfriendGPT, last checked on 29 September 2026, lists no reported data breach or regulator action.
