Is SpicyChat safe? Company, privacy and age checks explained

Who runs SpicyChat

NextDay AI Incorporated is based in Montreal, Canada, with NextDay AI USA Inc in Delaware and NextDay AI EU Ltd in Cyprus. The same group runs GirlfriendGPT, PixelChat and SecretMate; our GirlfriendGPT review covers its sister app. Disputes go to binding individual arbitration under ADR Institute of Canada rules, with a class-action waiver. Billing and what shows on your statement

SpicyChat takes major cards including Amex, one-time Pay By Bank, Boosty, crypto through CoinPayments and regional methods. It does not publish the text that appears on a card statement. The operator's shared checkout code says sister apps bill as "NDAI.CHAT", but SpicyChat's own pages do not confirm that, so treat it as a clue, not a promise. Crypto keeps your card off the statement, but crypto payments are never refunded.

Privacy: who can read your chats

This is the part to read carefully. SpicyChat's terms include a clause titled "Electronic Communications Not Private", which warns that operators of the service may read all messages you send. It adds that staff access is restricted by internal policy. The terms also grant SpicyChat a perpetual, sublicensable license to use your chatbots, generations and chats "in any way", and say it may review and edit content to improve its services (terms of service).

The privacy policy, last updated in May 2023, says data is shared with service providers, affiliates, in business transfers and with law enforcement when required (privacy policy). Deleting your SpicyChat account

Open your profile, scroll to Advanced, click Delete Account and confirm. Deletion is permanent, and you can register again with the same email later. SpicyChat says it keeps personal information and chats only as long as needed for the service, legal duties and disputes, and that you can ask for your personal data and chat history to be deleted. Age checks and content rules

SpicyChat is 18+ only. In France, the UK, Italy, Australia and 26 US states, including Texas, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee, you must pass a third-party video selfie check, with an ID check as a fallback, before adult content unlocks. Verification is per account, and SpicyChat says it never sees the images or documents (age verification).

NSFW chat is allowed in private chats, while public pages are moderated. The community guidelines ban underage characters or narratives, non-consensual scenarios, incest and any family roleplay, bots based on real private people, photorealistic images or deepfakes of real people, extreme violence combined with adult content, glorifying real criminals, self-harm promotion and trafficking. Reported incidents and app store status

We found no reported data breach of SpicyChat in the sources we track. The notable event is on the app side: Apple removed the iOS app on 27 August 2025, and it stopped working on 25 September 2025 (iOS app notice). Subscriptions bought through Apple stopped renewing. On Android, SpicyChat offers an official APK from its own website rather than Google Play, while its safe-for-work sister app PixelChat is on Google Play.

How to use SpicyChat safely

• Assume staff could read it. Keep your full name, address, workplace and photos of real people out of chats and characters.
• Use a separate email for the account if you want it kept apart from your main inbox.
• Get the APK from spicychat.ai only, never from mirror sites.
• Pay monthly first and ask for any refund within 24 hours, since refunds are limited after that.
• Keep your old price if you subscribed before September 2026 by not changing or lapsing the plan.
