Yes, HeyGF is safe to use with normal care: it is run by Y2A LLC, a Delaware company, says "We do not use your conversations to train AI models", and bills without mentioning "AI girlfriend". Privacy: training, AI providers and ad partners

The privacy policy is clear on training: "We do not use your conversations to train AI models." That puts HeyGF among the stricter apps we track on this point.

Two other details matter. Relevant parts of your conversations are sent to third-party AI model providers to generate replies, so your chats do leave HeyGF's own systems. And the site shares data with service providers and with advertising and analytics partners: Meta, Google, Microsoft, Reddit, X and PostHog. Account data is stored in Google Cloud (Firebase), encrypted in transit and at rest, and conversation history is used to personalise replies. Deleting your account: two steps

You can delete the account from Settings, but that closes the account and keeps a record including your email, for fraud prevention, billing and legal duties. To have your data permanently erased, including data from Google sign-in, email privacy@heygf.ai from the address on your account. Erasure requests are completed within 30 days, except data the law requires HeyGF to keep.

Age checks and content rules

All content is AI-generated. Anyone who believes they are depicted can ask for removal, and the company says it checks consent for likeness use. A content moderation policy and an anti-trafficking policy are published.

How to use HeyGF safely

Sign up with a separate email address, and keep your real name and address out of chats, since parts of them go to AI providers.
Use a tracker blocker if you do not want ad partners to see your visits.
Pay by card, and start month to month because part-used periods are not refunded.
When you leave, delete in Settings and email privacy@heygf.ai for full erasure.
