Is Nectar AI free? What the daily free plan gives you

What the Nectar AI free plan includes

The plan list labels the free tier "Free forever" and sets these limits:

• 15 messages a day, with the last 15 messages kept in memory
• 10 image generations a day in the Image Creator
• 1 photo message in chat
• 4 customization options, 1 persona and 1 custom companion

You sign up with an email address, and no card is asked for. The site goes by both TryNectar AI and Nectar AI; the terms cover both names under one company, so this is the same free plan whichever address you use.

What needs a paid plan

Nectar's paid tiers add more of everything, and some features only appear on the top plan:

• Premium: 6,000 messages a month, an 8K memory context, 100 image generations a day, 600 photo messages, 50 voice messages and 45+ customizations.
• Pro: 9,000 messages, a 16K context, unlimited HD images and 3 personas.
• Top plan only: long-term memory, video generation and video messages, voice chat, a 64K context and 2,500 credits a month.

Credits, sold separately, pay for advanced roleplay, better models, video and live features, which are priced per second. Our Nectar AI pricing page lists every plan and credit pack.

How far 15 free messages a day go

Fifteen messages a day adds up to about 450 a month, a real allowance compared with apps that give 5 or 10 messages in total. Ten image generations a day is even more useful: about 300 a month, enough to judge the pictures properly before paying.

The catch is memory. The free plan keeps only the last 15 messages in memory, and you get 15 messages a day, so a character will not recall much from yesterday's chat. If a companion who remembers you is the point, the free plan will undersell Nectar, and even Premium's 8K context is a short-term memory; long-term memory is a top-plan feature. Our TryNectar AI review explains how the memory tiers work.

A good free test: spend a few days on one character, put the facts you care about into your persona so they do not depend on chat memory, and use the daily images to see whether the look stays consistent.

The cheapest paid Nectar AI plan

Premium is the cheapest paid tier at $5 a month on the yearly plan, charged as $59.99 once a year, or $9.99 month to month. The plan list shows a higher list price next to each plan; the lower, discounted figure is what you pay. A referral link takes a further 20% off, and checkout accepts cards and crypto.

Fees are non-refundable except case by case, so one month is the safer first purchase. See how to cancel Nectar AI before you buy, and is Nectar AI safe? for the company and privacy side.

Free alternatives to Nectar AI

Nectar's free plan is one of the better ones we track. Three apps beat it on one point each:

• Selira AI: Unlimited chat, 2 companions, 3 days of history, so text chat never runs out, though it has no live calls. See Nectar AI vs Selira AI.
• Secrets AI: 20 messages a day, no images or calls. More messages a day, but no free pictures.
• Kindroid: unlimited messages on its smaller Lite model, with a small selfie allowance and iPhone and Android apps.

None of them gives 10 free image generations a day, which is where Nectar stands out. Our ranking of the best free AI girlfriend apps compares them all, and Nectar AI alternatives ranks paid rivals that include memory or calls on their entry plan.
