Is Selira AI safe? The Dutch company and its privacy claims

Who runs Selira AI

Sria Digital B.V. trades as Selira AI and gives an address in Utrecht, a Dutch VAT number and a phone number on its contact page. The terms fall under Dutch law. It promises to resolve complaints within 7 business days, and to act on content removal requests and appeals within 48 hours. Email goes to hello@selira.ai.

Billing

Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay go through Finby, and crypto through Boomfi. Selira does not publish the name that appears on your statement, so note your sign-up date in case you need to spot the charge. Prices are in US dollars and plans renew automatically until canceled. Privacy: training, sharing and trackers

Selira's strongest privacy promise is on training: its policy says it "does not use your personal data or chat conversations to train artificial intelligence models", and that its outside AI providers do not either. It says it does not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Your messages do leave Selira: they go to third-party AI providers to generate replies. The policy also names Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel for analytics and advertising measurement, Netlify Identity and Google Sign-In for logins, and Didit for age checks. The about page says history is stored encrypted and "We never read your messages", while messages are scanned by AI moderation for banned content, and the memory system stores details from your chats. Deleting your data: three different answers

You can request deletion from your profile page or by emailing hello@selira.ai. What happens next depends on which page you read:

• Contact page: all data, including conversations, companions and personal information, is deleted within 48 hours.
• Privacy policy: account information is kept "for a reasonable period after account deletion", chat data is kept for memory unless you ask for it to be deleted, and usage data for up to 2 years.
• About page: a "zero data retention" policy.

Age checks and content rules

Where local law requires it, 18+ pictures, video, the feed and the generator sit behind a Didit check: a selfie age estimate that takes about 30 seconds, with a government ID as the fallback. Selira receives only pass, fail or review, and a fail permanently restricts the account. The about page goes further and calls 18+ verification mandatory before access, so the check may appear even where the law does not require it.

The rules ban anything involving minors, including roleplay requests and minor-coded terms, content depicting real people without consent, sexual content of celebrities, deepfakes and revenge porn. Is Selira AI a scam? Reported incidents

No. Selira AI delivers unlimited chat as advertised, names a registered company and publishes its refund rules. A news search in September 2026 found no reported data breach, fine or lawsuit naming Selira AI or Sria Digital B.V. Its trust mark in our scoring is lower than Secrets AI's and Candy AI's, and the mismatched retention wording is one reason to read the privacy pages closely. How to use Selira AI safely

• Use an email address you keep for apps like this, or sign in with Google only if you are comfortable linking it.
• Keep your real name, address and photos of real people out of chats; the memory system stores personal details.
• Block trackers in your browser if you do not want analytics and ad-measurement scripts to run.
• Ask for deletion in writing and keep the reply.
• Request any refund within 14 days of purchase.
