What the Talkie free plan includes

According to Talkie's FAQ and plan details, free users can:

• Text and voice chat with any public character
• Create their own characters (Talkies)
• Start as a guest, then sign up with email, Google or Apple after a few chats

The energy meter and daily limits

Talkie's free plan runs on limits rather than a single message cap. There are daily caps on chats, rerolls (regenerating a reply), recalls and chat inspirations, and an energy meter that drains as you chat. You refill energy by watching ads or spending gems, the in-app currency.

Talkie does not publish the exact numbers, and they can change. In practice that means a free session can end mid-conversation until you watch an ad. What Talkie+ adds

Talkie+ Standard gives unlimited chats, unlimited chat inspirations, persona customization and an ad-free app, plus daily gems. Talkie+ Pro adds extra cloud storage days for syncing chat history. Talkie Claw, another feature, requires Talkie+.

How far free voice chat goes

Further than on almost any other app. Real-time voice chat is part of the free plan, so you can talk out loud with a character without paying per minute, within the same energy and daily limits as text. The trade-off is memory. Our data rates Talkie's memory as conversational, so characters do not build a long history however much you talk.
