SUBSUP PTE. LTD. lists 20 Emerald Hill Road, Singapore, and Talkie's characters are powered by models from MiniMax, a Shanghai-based AI company. Disputes go to JAMS arbitration under its terms. Why Talkie left the US App Store

In December 2024 Talkie was removed from Apple's US App Store for what the company called unspecified "technical reasons", while staying on Google Play, according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP via Yahoo Tech). The same report said Talkie had been the fourth most downloaded app in the US in the first half of 2024, according to Sensor Tower.

On iPhone today, the App Store lists a separate app from the same company, "Talkie Lab - AI Playground", rated 17+ (App Store). Check that the seller is SUBSUP PTE. LTD. before installing any app called Talkie. The website works on any phone.

Billing and what shows on your statement

Talkie bills through the App Store, Google Play, or its own web checkout, which has a Manage Billing page with invoices. It does not publish its card statement text or advertise discreet billing. App store purchases show under Apple or Google. Talkie says subscriptions can only be changed or cancelled in the store where you bought them. Prices are on our Talkie pricing page.

Privacy: chats, ads and your data

• Chats: the privacy policy says your chatbot learns "from your interactions to improve your conversations" and that data is analyzed to improve features. It does not describe this as model training.
• Advertising: website visit data such as clicks, IP address and advertising ID is shared with ad partners, which may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state laws. Talkie says conversations and photos are never shared with advertisers.
• Opt-outs: cookie and ad choices are at its manage-data page (Talkie manage data).
• Export: you can request a copy of your data (data export).

Deleting your Talkie account

Use the Delete Account link in the website footer (talkie-ai.com/delete) or your account settings. Deactivation permanently deletes your personal data and all conversations, and any Talkies you created stay public with the creator shown as "Null". You can also delete single chats. Age rules and content rules

Talkie's minimum age is 14, or 15 to 16 in some countries such as France, Germany and the Netherlands, and it relies on self-declaration with no ID check. The App Store rates its iPhone app 17+ while Google Play rates the main app Teen. Pornographic, obscene and excessively violent content is banned under the terms, character settings are moderated and can be hidden, and messages about self-harm bring up crisis resources such as 988 in the US.

How to use Talkie safely

• Use the official apps: Google Play's "Talkie: Creative AI Community", the website, or Talkie Lab on iPhone.
• Limit ad tracking on the website through its manage-data page.
• Keep real details out of chats and character descriptions.
• Buy gems in small amounts, since recharges are generally non-refundable.
• Parents: remember the minimum age is 14 and checks are self-declared.
