Muah AI pricing: VIP, UHD VIP and ULTRA VIP

The yearly plans are much cheaper per month than monthly billing, most of all on VIP, where a year works out to $5.83 a month, about 71% less than $19.99 month to month. Checkout in the chatroom is card only. Our Muah AI pricing guide explains what each tier adds.

Is Muah AI free? The demo and free chatroom

Partly. Muah AI's homepage offers a "Play Demo (No Login Needed)" option, and the chatroom has an area marked FREE, but Muah AI does not state the free limits. VIP adds unlimited chat and companion access plus photo generation, so expect the free side to be a sampler.

Phone calls, voice and photo exchange

Media is Muah AI's strength, and our media and voice scores for it are among its best marks. Its landing page lists photo exchange (you can send and receive photos), voice interactions in chat and real-time phone calls, and its roadmap says phone calls moved inside the chat window in early 2025 (Muah AI landing page, archived). The archived price window ties these to tiers: VIP includes photo generation, UHD VIP adds voice interaction, and real-time phone calls appear in the ULTRA VIP list. That makes calls expensive here. On the apps in our AI girlfriend voice call ranking, calls usually cost tokens on a cheaper plan: FantasyGF charges 4 tokens a minute from $5.83 a month.

Characters, chat and memory

You can customize a companion's looks and personality, start from premade characters, or pick from a community gallery of thousands of user-made characters, which you can import into your own account. Muah AI says it has hosted over 100 million chats and that its AI is uncensored for adults, and it lists English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Hindi, French and Russian among its languages.

Is Muah AI safe? The 2024 breach and privacy

This is the section to read before you sign up. In September 2024 Muah AI was hacked. Have I Been Pwned, the breach notification service, lists 1.9 million email addresses exposed alongside prompts written to generate images, flags the breach as sensitive, and notes that many prompts were sexual in nature and many described child exploitation (Have I Been Pwned). Malwarebytes reported that the prompts were linked to email addresses, many of which appeared to be personal accounts with real names (Malwarebytes).

At the time, its landing page promised "Absolute Privacy" and encrypted communication, and it still says it does not sell data to any third party. Its terms name only "MUAH.AI" with no company address, and age checks are self-declared. Our full guide, Is Muah AI safe?, covers what to do if you had an account.

How to cancel Muah AI

Muah AI's terms say you can cancel at any time in the Muah AI settings page, through your payment provider, or by emailing love@muah.ai. Subscriptions are not refundable, though support may make a one-time exception in good faith. The terms warn that disputing a payment without contacting support first leads to a "zero refund stance" and a counter-dispute. Our guide on how to cancel Muah AI covers each route.

Who Muah AI suits, and who should skip it

Muah AI suits adults who want uncensored chat with photo exchange and phone calls and who accept the trade-offs: no named company, a past breach and a high price for calls. If you use it, sign up with an email that does not carry your real name.

Most readers are better served elsewhere. Secrets AI (8.5), run by Secret Labs Inc., takes live calls and remembers long stories. OurDream (8.2) includes calls and group scenes on both plans.
