Is SweetDream AI free? What a free account gets

What a free SweetDream account includes

We read SweetDream's plan page, FAQs and sign-up flow on 29 September 2026. A free account gets a starting allowance:

• 5 messages
• 2 images and 2 videos
• 3 voice plays, so you can hear a character's voice
• free daily messages, in a number the site does not state

Sign-up uses email with a verification code, or Google, and there is a captcha. No card is needed. SweetDream runs in the browser and can be installed as a web app. Our SweetDream AI review covers the app in full.

Free users can browse the whole catalogue: realistic AI girlfriends and boyfriends, anime characters, and characters published by other users and creators. The site is offered in 11 languages, from English and Spanish to Korean, Japanese and Chinese, so the free messages are a quick way to check replies in your own language.

What you have to pay for

Nearly everything SweetDream is known for sits behind Premium:

• live AI phone calls, live video calls and Live Cam
• creating your own AI girlfriend
• premium chat at 3x speed
• unblurred images and 18+ picture and video generation
• 400 tokens a month

Token packs are one-time purchases on top. The full list of passes and packs is on our SweetDream AI pricing page.

How far the free allowance goes

Five messages is a greeting, not a conversation. The daily free messages help, but since SweetDream does not publish the number, you cannot plan around them. The 2 images, 2 videos and 3 voice plays are enough to judge picture quality and hear a voice, which is useful, because voice is the main reason to pay.

What you cannot test for free is a call. If calls are your reason for looking at SweetDream, the realistic test is a paid week, then canceling if it is not right; unused subscriptions can be refunded within 7 days under its terms. For how free tiers usually compare with paid ones, see free vs paid AI girlfriend apps.

For scale, Premium's 400 monthly tokens would cover over two hours of calls at 3 tokens a minute. That is the allowance you are really testing for, so a single paid week tells you more than the free plan ever can.

The cheapest way to pay

There is no free trial and no monthly plan. These are the passes:

The weekly pass is the cheapest way to test calls. The yearly pass is the cheapest per month, at $14.92, but it is paid in one go. The plan page runs countdown banners promising up to 75% off a first subscription, and checkout calls the first charge an "introductory payment" without stating the renewal price, so check the amount before you confirm. Free alternatives to SweetDream AI

No free plan we track includes live calls, but these ranked apps give far more free chat and pictures:

Secrets AI gives 20 messages every day. TryNectar AI gives 15 messages and 10 images a day, and it also has voice calls on Premium. HeyGF gives 30 messages a day with no card. Our free AI girlfriend ranking compares every free plan, and our SweetDream AI alternatives page covers paid apps with calls.
