Dondi.ai's 1 token per note is cheap because Premium includes 200 tokens a month, while Infatuated AI's 5 tokens per voice item comes out of the same 175 tokens you use for messages and pictures. Voice is one of the first things apps hold back for paying users, but a few free plans include some:

What makes a voice message sound good
Three things decide whether voice notes feel personal or robotic:
- The voice itself. Kindroid offers a few default voices per gender and lets subscribers create a custom voice from samples. OurDream sells premium voices at a coin cost per paragraph, and Lovescape lets you set a character's voice when you build one.
- Language. Most voices are built for English. Nomi says its voice is designed for English and other languages may sound accented, so non-English speakers should test a note first.

Voice messages and privacy
Voice notes she sends are generated audio, so they reveal nothing about you. Two things still deserve care.
First, other people can hear them. Play notes with earphones on shared devices, and set your phone to hide notification previews, since a voice note often arrives with a text preview.
Second, your own voice. Some apps let you talk instead of typing: Kupid AI's paid plans include voice input, and Joi's Premium Plus adds a hands-free voice mode. Anything you say is sent to the company like a typed message. Secrets AI says call audio is transcribed live and the audio deleted at once, keeping only the transcript, but most apps do not say how long they keep audio.
