The cheapest AI girlfriend plans, sorted by price

This table sorts every app we rank by its cheapest published plan, from the lowest up. It is built from the same data as our ranking, so it changes when prices change.

Two things stand out. Almost every low price is a yearly plan, and the gap to month to month is large: Candy AI goes from $3.99 to $13.99. And a low price does not mean a weak app. Candy AI, Selira AI and FantasyGF all sit near the top of our overall ranking.

Apps that show no public price, such as DarLink AI and Joi, are left out because they show prices only after sign-up. GirlfriendGPT is also left out: its FAQ quotes $12 a month, but its plan page code lists higher prices, so the FAQ looks out of date.

Yearly price vs what you pay on day one

The per-month price on a yearly plan is a calculation. You pay the whole year at checkout, and most apps will not refund it later.

If you want to avoid a big first payment, only Selira AI, Infatuated AI, TryNectar AI and HeyGF cost that little month to month: under $10. Selira AI also sells a 3-month Lite plan at $5.99 a month, a middle step between the two.

Start month to month if you are unsure, then switch to yearly once you know you will keep using the app. The AI girlfriend cost calculator shows the total for each billing period side by side.

Renewal prices: where cheap first terms end

Some of the lowest prices are introductory. They apply to the first term only, and the plan then renews at a higher price.

• DreamGF and DreamBF show a first-year price of $69.99,, then renew at $311.88 a year. Their first month also renews at about double.
• My Lovely AI sells a two-day trial for $2.99 that renews at $19.99 a month.
• Swipey AI lists a 3-day trial for $2.99, and GoLove AI has paid first-month trials that then renew at $19.99 a month.
• SweetDream AI calls its first charge an "introductory payment" on a countdown offer.

Other apps renew at the price you signed up for. Candy AI says every plan renews automatically for the same price and term, and Secrets AI gives at least 30 days' notice of any price rise.

Before you pay, find the line that says what the plan renews at. If it is not on the checkout page, assume the renewal is higher, and set a reminder the week before. Our guide on cancelling an AI girlfriend subscription covers each app's steps.

Tokens: the cost the headline price leaves out

The plan price covers chat. Pictures, video and calls usually spend a currency, and the plan includes only so much of it each month.

• Candy AI includes 100 tokens a month on Premium. Its help center values 200 tokens at $20, so extra media adds up quickly.
• Selira AI Lite includes 75 credits: 1 per picture and 10 per 5-second video.
• OurDream includes 1,000 dreamcoins a month: 5 per in-chat picture, 100 per 5 seconds of video and 50 per minute of voice call.
• Secrets AI Premium includes 8,000 Moments a month: 50 per picture and 50 per call minute.

So the cheapest plan is only cheapest for chat. If you want dozens of pictures a week, compare how many the allowance covers, not just the plan price. Our guide to AI girlfriend tokens explained shows how to work out the cost per picture on each app.

How to pay the least

1. Use the free plan until it limits you. Selira AI's free text chat is unlimited, and Lovescape says chat and memory are free.
2. Look for referral and first-purchase prices. TryNectar AI lists a referral price 20% below its normal one, and Candy AI gives a Premium user and a friend 200 tokens each when the friend subscribes.
3. Buy on the web, not in the app store, where there is a choice. Kindroid's web subscription is $13.99 a month against $13.99 in the app stores.
4. Read the cancel screen. My Lovely AI's cancel flow offers 20% off the next month, then 40%, and Kupid AI offers 50% off the next month. We know of no public coupon codes for any app we rank.
5. Pick one app. Two cheap subscriptions cost more than one good one.
