An app can be translated into Hindi and still answer you in English, or be English-only and reply perfectly well in Hindi. The menus are translated by the company; the replies come from the AI model, which follows the language you use and the instructions in her character.

"Not stated" means the app does not say either way, not that it fails. Most modern language models handle Hindi, so the two Hindi-language sites are worth testing with a few messages on their free plans.
Language is separate from the character herself. How to get replies in Hindi or Hinglish
The AI copies the language and script of the conversation, so the first few messages set the pattern. Three habits help:
- Write in the form you want back. Devanagari gets Devanagari; Hindi typed in English letters usually gets Hinglish back.
- Put it in her character. On apps that let you edit the description, add one line about language, so it survives long chats and new sessions.
- Correct her once, clearly. If she slips into English, say so in one short line and carry on in Hindi.

Hindi voice: where it falls short
Text is fine in Hindi; voice is where most apps are still English-first. Swipey AI's help center says its voice calls are held in English, while voice messages in chat are spoken in the language of the written reply (Swipey AI help). Nomi AI's wiki says its voice is designed for English and that other languages can sound like an English speaker attempting them (Nomi wiki).

"AI girlfriend Hindi APK" and Telegram bots
Searches in Hindi often lead to APK files and Telegram bots advertised as a Hindi AI girlfriend. None of the apps on this page is distributed that way: they run on their own websites, and Replika is on the App Store and Google Play.
A Hindi APK from a file-sharing site is usually a copy of someone else's app, and it asks for permissions a chat app does not need.
