Anima pricing: what Pro costs

Anima does not publish prices on a public pricing page; our price data lists them as not published, since Pro is sold inside the app and web app. The paywall in its web app lists three Pro options:

Google Play lists in-app purchases from $0.99 to $199.99 per item, which covers Pro and other options bought through the store. Is Anima AI free?

Yes, and more usefully than most apps we track. The free plan has no published message cap: you can chat any time, customize the avatar and play the texting games. The limits are ads, a cap of 5 free voice messages, and some avatars and roleplay options that stay behind Pro. See is Anima AI free for a full list.

Chat, roleplay, voice and pictures

Anima's companions can be a friend, a girlfriend, a boyfriend or an anime character, and you shape the look through the avatar editor. Chat covers friendly conversation, roleplay and texting games, and the site pitches it as a way to grow your communication and relationship skills.

Pro's paywall lists "no taboo in chatting", unlimited roleplay and "unlimited voice messages and pics". Our feature data does not record picture generation, voice messages or live calls for Anima, so treat those extras as unconfirmed. Apps: Android yes, iPhone unclear

Anima has an official Android app on Google Play from LABANE CORP. Limited, with more than 1 million downloads, a 4.0 rating from about 39,200 reviews and an update dated 24 June 2026. Google Play rates it Everyone. Payment also works through Huawei AppGallery.

The iPhone app is the problem. Anima's website still links to an App Store listing, but a lookup of that listing in the US and UK stores returned no results on 29 September 2026. iPhone users can use the web app at myanima.ai. Avoid modified "mod" APK files: they are not from the developer, and the terms ban reverse engineering the service.

Is Anima AI safe? Company and privacy

Anima is run by Labane Corp. Ltd, which lists an address in Limassol, Cyprus, and by Ichigoichie Tech Limited, a Delaware company with a Las Vegas office, for users in the US and Canada. Web payments go through Stripe. The terms carry AAA arbitration with a class-action waiver, which you can opt out of in writing within 30 days of first use.

Privacy is the concern. The policy says data is used "to train and improve our AI models", and that name, gender and conversations go to AI providers such as the OpenAI API and Groq to generate replies. Analytics and ad tools named include Facebook, Firebase, AppsFlyer and Amplitude. The privacy policy also sets a minimum age of 16 while the terms say 18, an inconsistency worth knowing. How to cancel Anima

1. Cancel via account settings on the website, or email support@myanima.ai
2. Access continues until the end of the current billing period
3. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription

If you pay through Apple: Turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends.

If you pay through Google Play: Turn off auto-renewal in your Google Play account settings before the trial or period ends.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. For web payments, Anima's cancellation and refund policy allows a refund request within 24 hours of payment; UK, EU, EEA and Swiss users also have a 14-day withdrawal right that ends once they agree to immediate access. Who Anima suits, and who should skip it

Anima suits people who want a free, friendly chat partner on Android, a low-pressure way to practice conversation, or texting games with a character. If that is you, the free plan may be all you need.

Skip it if you want a companion that remembers your life, an iPhone app, 18+ roleplay with pictures, or chats that are not used to train AI.
