What works in Pakistan
Nomi AI and Replika are listed in Pakistan's App Store with prices in rupees, and Replika and Anima are on Google Play. These store apps are the most reliable choice, because they are reviewed by Apple or Google, bill in local currency and keep pictures non-explicit.
The 18+ web apps we rank are a different matter. Section 37 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 lets the PTA block access to information in the interest of "decency or morality," and it has reported blocking hundreds of thousands of pornographic websites, as the law section below explains. Some 18+ web apps may therefore not load, or may stop loading without notice. We do not recommend using a VPN or other tools to reach content that is blocked where you live.
If you want a companion for conversation rather than 18+ content, the SFW options below cover it. Our list of Replika alternatives compares more apps in the same style.
Be wary of the shortcuts that fill search results: Telegram bots and WhatsApp numbers promising a free AI girlfriend, and APK files offering "premium unlocked" versions of known apps. None comes from the companies we rank, and they are common routes for scams and malware. Our pages on AI girlfriends on Telegram and AI girlfriend APKs list the warning signs.

Web apps bill in US dollars, so Selira AI's $3.60 a month yearly plan or TryNectar AI's $5 is converted at your bank's rate, and some cards need international online payments switched on in your banking app before they work abroad. The App Store route avoids both problems, and a yearly plan there costs less per month than paying monthly: Nomi AI's yearly plan works out to about Rs 2,075 a month against Rs 3,900.
Paying from Pakistan
In Pakistan, Apple accepts most credit and debit cards and Apple Account balance for App Store purchases; it lists no mobile billing there (Apple Support). Google Play has its own list of local options in the Play Store app. For web apps, a card enabled for international online payments is the usual requirement.
Whichever you use, subscriptions renew automatically. Store subscriptions are cancelled in your Apple or Google account settings; web subscriptions on the app's own site. Our guide on cancelling an AI girlfriend subscription has the steps.
PTA blocking and the law
Section 37 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (PECA) gives the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority power to remove or block access to information if it considers it necessary in the interest of, among other things, "public order, decency or morality" (PECA 2016). In November 2024 the PTA reported that it had blocked 844,008 pornographic websites (The Express Tribune).
In January 2025 the Senate passed PECA amendments that create a new Social Media Protection and Regulatory Authority with power to block content (Dawn). We found no PTA action aimed specifically at AI companion apps. Given these rules, the safest choice in Pakistan is a store app that keeps pictures non-explicit, such as Nomi AI, Replika or Anima. For other countries, see AI girlfriend laws by country.
Urdu support
None of the site language lists we checked includes Urdu, and no app we rank advertises Urdu voice. The AI generally follows the language you write in, so Urdu or Roman Urdu messages often get replies in kind; adding "She replies in Roman Urdu" to her description helps on apps that let you edit it. Nomi AI, whose App Store listing is English only, says its voice is designed for English, so expect English-accented voice in other languages.

Is Replika available in Pakistan?
Yes. Replika is listed in Pakistan's App Store with prices in rupees, starting at Rs 1,250 for its monthly item, and it is on Google Play. It keeps chat SFW.
Why won't an AI girlfriend website open in Pakistan?

Is there an AI girlfriend in Urdu?
No app we rank has an Urdu site or Urdu voice, but most reply in Urdu or Roman Urdu if you write in it, because the AI follows your language. Voice features are designed mainly for English.
Is having an AI girlfriend haram?
That is a religious question, and views differ. Our guide on whether having an AI girlfriend is haram covers it in more detail. If explicit content is the concern, an SFW companion such as Replika avoids it.
